La scure della FIFA si abbatte inesorabile su chi sbaglia, il comunicato appena diffuso attraverso il sito ufficiale della Commissione d’Appello della federazione non lascia adito a dubbi: i ricorsi presentati dai due club spagnoli sono stati rigettati.
Secondo quanto riferito dalla Commissione Real Madrid e Atletico Madrid vedranno il loro mercato bloccato per due intere sessioni e in aggiunta dovranno pagare una multa, nel dettaglio: “ad entrambi i club è stato impedito di registrare qualsiasi giocatore a livello nazionale e internazionale per le due prossime complete e consecutive sessioni per aver contravvenuto agli articoli 5,9,19 e 19bis oltre che agli annessi 2 e 3 del Regolamento sullo status e il trasferimento dei calciatori. Il ban si applica in toto ad entrambi i club con l’eccezione del calcio femminile, calcio a 5 e beach soccer. […] Inoltre Atletico Madrid e Real Madrid sono state multate rispettivamente per un ammontare di 900.000 franchi svizzeri e 360.000 franchi svizzeri“.
(qui il comunicato completo: “The FIFA Appeal Committee has decided to reject the appeals lodged by Spanish clubs Atlético de Madrid and Real Madrid and to confirm in their entirety the decisions rendered by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee in the respective cases relating to the protection of minors. As such, both clubs are to serve a transfer ban that prevents them from registering any players at national and international level for the next two complete and consecutive registration periods for breaching articles 5, 9, 19 and 19bis as well as annexes 2 and 3 of the Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players (the “Regulations”). The transfer ban applies to each club as a whole – with the exception of the women’s, futsal and beach soccer teams – and does not prevent the release of players.
